*AKC Unlimited Registration allows the puppy/adult dog to participate in the AKC conformation show ring and all other AKC sanctioned events. You can breed and register off-spring (puppies) with AKC, UKC, CKC or any other country’s registrar equivalent to the AKC.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT DEPOSITS ON ANY PUPPY 6 WEEKS OLD OR OLDER. AT 6 WEEKS OLD ONLY PAYMENTS IN FULL WILL BE ACCEPTED. ALL PUPPIES MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL ON OR BEFORE THE DAY THE PUPPY TURN 6 WEEKS OLD TO HOLD THEM UNTIL THEY ARE 8 WEEKS OLD AND ARE PICKED UP, SHIPPED OR DELIVERED.
When you have decided to purchase your new West Highland White Terrier puppy from Arrowhead Acres Westies, prior to the date the puppy turns 6 weeks old you will need to pay:
- $350.00 non-refundable deposit but transferable for Limited Registration
- $1000.00 for Unlimited Registration
- You may pay deposit by personal check, money order or cashier’s check for the deposit made out to Arrowhead Acres Westies and mail to the address below:

Spring Hope, N.C. 27882 - The day you make the commitment to purchase a puppy, by phone or by email, your deposit has 5 mail delivery days to reach us to hold your position in line on a certain litter of puppies.
- You may pay by Credit/Debit Card. On the right side of each page of the Website you will see the Side Bar. Scroll down almost to the bottom of the Side Bar and will see a “BUY NOW” button. Right above that button you will see a drop down box with prices listed, select the appropriate deposit amount of either $350.00 or $1000.00 and then click the “BUY NOW” button. You will then be directed to the page where you will enter your credit/debit card information. At the bottom of that page you will see, “To pay by credit or debit card click here”, follow those directions from there.
- You may also use PayPal. Send your PayPal payments to wendy@arrowheadacreswesties.com.
- In addition cash may be sent via Western Union or Wire Transfer. Cash will also be accepted in person if you visit us.
- Fill out the PUPPY DEPOSIT CONTRACT. Please follow the directions carefully at the top of the contract
Payment of Balance and Payment in Full:
- If you have put a deposit down on a puppy, PAYMENT IN FULL , minus the deposit amount, and including any shipping charges, is due on or before the day your puppy turns 6 weeks old. If we are delivering your puppy to you in person, you will be required to pay the delivery fee in cash when the puppy exchanges hands.
- If you are purchasing a PUPPY that is 6 weeks old or older and have not previously put down a deposit, PAYMENT IN FULL is required at the time of commitment to purchase.
- WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS FOR BALANCES OR PAYMENTS IN FULL.
- If you are visiting Arrowhead Acres Westies and picking out, paying for and taking home a puppy all in the same day we only accept Cash or Credit/Debit Card.

- If you are purchasing a LIMITED REGISTRATION PUPPY, fill out the Limited Puppy Purchase Contract.
- If you are purchasing an UNLIMITED REGISTRATION PUPPY, fill out Unlimited Puppy Purchase Contract.
Please follow the directions for filling out the contract carefully at the top of either contract. This contract will be returned to you by email within five business days, once your puppy is picked up, shipped or delivered. It serves as your receipt for payment in full and it explains your guarantee on your puppy. It will also have all the shots and vaccines your puppy has had while in our care.
At pickup a printed copy of the puppy’s vaccine record is sent home. This record contains stickers with each vaccine’s expiration date and serial number. This is the record you will need to take to you to your first vet visit. If you would like an additional copy supplied at pickup please let us know and one will be provided.
Your Westie puppy can go home at 8 weeks old. You must pick out your puppy as close to the 8 week pick-up date as possible. You will choose in order of when your deposit was placed in line for that litter. If you are going to pick up your puppy later than the Saturday that follows your puppy turning 8 weeks old, you will have to choose your puppy via video. Please be sure to email (contracts@arrowheadacreswesties.com) to set an appointment time to pick up your puppy. If you come the Saturday after your puppy turns 8 weeks old and you have 1st choice and have anyone in line behind you, your appointment needs to be, at the latest, mid-morning.
Your puppy must be 8 weeks old to ship, use our flight nanny service or be delivered. If you are shipping, using our flight nanny service or we are delivering your puppy you will have to pick out your puppy via video.
You have until your Westie puppy reaches 9 weeks old to pick up your puppy or have your puppy shipped, delivered or flight nannied. If for some reason you are unable to, we will be glad to hold your puppy for a small daily boarding fee of $10.00. This is payable in cash when you pick up your new puppy or if transporting by PayPal or Credit Card before it is transported. During this time your puppy will continue to receive all age appropriate vaccines according to our protocol.
If you purchase a puppy that is over 8 weeks old you have 10 days to either pick up your new puppy or have them transported to you. Again, if you are unable to pick up or have your new puppy transported within the 10 days, the same boarding fee applies.
Special Needs Puppies: Fee Decided on a Case by Case Basis
Special needs discounted puppy fees depend on the individual need of each puppy. These fees are determined on a case by case basis and will be posted with the picture. When you decide to adopt a particular special needs puppy, we will let you know to the best of our knowledge any health issues, special needs or social characteristics that may be weak points or strong points. You will then fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. Special Needs Puppies can only go to homes that have already purchased a Puppy, an Adult Retiree or Special Needs Adult/Puppy from ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES.
Adult Purchase Prices:
- Healthy Adult, 7 to 8 Year Old Retiring from the Breeding Program: $250 Non-Refundable Deposit. Price is decided on a Case by Case basis. (This fee includes spay/neuter, dental work, pre-op blood work, negative heart worm test, any antibiotics or pain meds needed after the surgery.)
- Healthy Young Adult: Usually 2 to 6 Years Old: Price is decided on a Case by Case basis. Plus the cost of the Spay/Neuter Fee.
- Special Need Adults: Price is decided on a Case by Case basis. Plus the cost of the Spay/Neuter Fee.
Adult Purchase Process:
Healthy 7 to 8 Year Old Retiring from the Breeding Program:
Our routine protocol for retiring all of our sires and dams is between the ages of six and seven years. Once you have decided on a particular Adult Adoptee we require a $250.00 non-refundable commitment fee. You will then fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. Just before leaving ARRROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES your Adult Adoptee is taken to our vet. A pre-op physical and blood work are done and they are spayed or neutered. The teeth are also cleaned at this time. They are given a heart worm test to take to your vet so that you can purchase heart worm prevention without taking your adult adoptee in for another test. Occasionally they are sent home with pain meds or antibiotics. If needed, a Rabies vaccine is also given at this time. Your Adult Adoptee will have a fresh groom and a microchip as well. These services usually cost between $750.00 and $1250.00. The cost depends on the amount of dental work, the gender and other medical procedures performed. You, as the adoptive parent, pay this fee directly to us.
Healthy Young Adult:
Occasionally, for various reasons, we will have a young healthy, well socialized adult (2-6 years old) to retire. The reasons for a younger Adult Adoptee retiring will vary. Once you have decided on a Young Adult we require a non-refundable commitment fee of $250.00 with the remaining to be paid day of spay/neuter. Then you will fill out our: COMMITMENT CONTRACT TO ADOPT AN ADULT OR SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTEE. It will also have the same medical procedures done as the other Adult Adoptees. The purchase fees are higher for these Young Adults because they are younger and you will receive many years of companionship and love. Just before leaving ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES your Special Needs Adult Westie is taken to our vet. A pre-op physical and blood work are done and they are spayed or neutered. They are given a heart worm test to take to your vet so that you can purchase heart worm prevention without taking your Special Needs Adult Westie in for a test. Occasionally they are sent home with pain meds or antibiotics. If needed, a Rabies vaccine is also given at this time. Your Young Adult will have a fresh groom and a microchip as well. Special Needs Adults can only go to homes that have already purchased a Puppy, an Adult Retiree or Special Needs Puppy from ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES. Just before leaving ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES your Special Needs Adult is taken to our vet. A pre-op physical and blood work are done and they are spayed or neutered. They are given a heart worm test to take to your vet so that you can purchase heart worm prevention without having to take your Special Needs Adult in for a test. Occasionally they are sent home with pain meds or antibiotics. If needed, a Rabies vaccine is also given at this time. Your Special Needs Adult will have a fresh groom and a microchip as well. These services usually cost between $800.00 and $1000.00. The cost depends on the gender and other medical procedures performed. You, as the adoptive parent, pay this fee directly to us.
