Commitment to Adopt an Adult

Introduction

To reserve an ARROWHEAD ACRES WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER ADOPTEE this Commitment Contract must be filled out and submitted.

Before clicking SUBMIT located at the end of this agreement, be certain every empty white box preceded by an * has an entry. If the field does not apply to you, please enter N/A for non-applicable. Leaving a box empty will result in an ERROR page when submitted. If completed correctly, you will receive a THANK YOU email. Start at the first blank box and use the TAB key to navigate through the page. You will be taken to the next box that needs an entry to prevent an error. Once the contract is submitted it will be received by us, Arrowhead Acres Westies. We will electronically sign and return the contract to you via email.

ADOPTING A SEVEN TO EIGHT YEAR OLD BREEDING RETIREE:

The commitment fee for adopting a seven eight-year-old adult adoptee is $250.00. The remaining balance will be for all charges above and beyond the commitment fee for the spay/neuter, teeth cleaning, heartworm test, rabies vaccine and any medications required after surgery. These charges are to be paid by you by debit/credit card the day of the surgery. In most cases you should be able to pick up your ADOPTEE two weeks after surgery at the home of ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES. If we are shipping your ARROWHEAD ACRES WESITE ADOPTEE to you it would be 3 weeks after the surgery before we can ship. ADOPTING A HEALTHY YOUNG ADULT: SIX YEARS OR LESS
The commitment fee for adopting a young (six years old or less), healthy, well socialized adult is one half of the total adoption fee as determined by WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER on a case by case basis. The remaining balance will be due by the day you pick up your ADOPTEE at the home of ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES or it is shipped.

ADOPTING A SPECIAL NEEDS ADULT OR PUPPY:
The commitment fee for adopting a puppy, a young or older adult with special needs is determined on case by case basis. This fee will be discussed when you first contact us concerning a specific special needs Westie.

We care about our Westies from the day they are born till the day they pass on to RAINBOW BRIDGE. Because we care, we expect every adopter to abide by all conditions and terms listed below. If for any reason the following conditions are not met, we will impose a $5,000.00 civil fine to the original ADOPTER. Please be sure you are fully committed to following the terms in this contract.

If for any reason you cannot continue to care of your ADOPTEE, or it is determined the ADOPTEE is not the proper fit for you or your family, including any other animal family members, you are required to notify us immediately. We will help to resolve these issues but if a solution cannot be reached you are required to return the ADOPTEE to us. We will rehome the ADOPTEE for the price that you set minus a $250.00 handling/deposit fee paid to us. If your ADOPTEE has been shipped to you, we will assist in rehoming the ADOPTEE from your location by placing him/her back on our website. Or you can ship the ADOPTEE back to ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES.

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON ANY SHIPPING or DELIVERY CHARGES.

PERMISSION TO INVESTIGATE

By submitting this application to ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES, I grant them permission to investigate my answers and to contact anyone I have listed.

ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES reserves the right to refuse any applicant or potential adopter, at any time, who we feel not to be an appropriate home for our Westie.

Any dog adopted through ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES must be returned to ARROWHEAD ACRES or let ARROWHEAD ACRES oversee any transfer of ownership. They cannot be transferred without ARROWHEAD ACRES' permission to another person or rescue without a Civil fine of $5,000.00.

FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL VERIFICATION

I hereby certify that I am financially and physically able to care for a ARROWHEAD ACRES WESTIES’ ADOPTEE as well as provide bedding, toys, crate, grooming, vet bills. I further testify that I am physically fit to provide all necessary activities with my dog.
